The Police Officers Association of Michigan (POAM) represents the people who protect and serve communities across the state. Its members need timely news, useful resources and a direct connection to their union, whether they are at a desk or between shifts.
What began with a straightforward website has grown into an ongoing partnership spanning association website design, a mobile app, content, email and social media. Each piece supports the same goal: make POAM’s work easier to find, understand and use.

Association Website Design Built Around Members
POAM’s website needed to do more than explain who the organization was. It needed to make a growing collection of news, forms, legal resources and department information useful to members.
Our website design team rebuilt the site around a newsroom approach, with clear content categories, featured stories and quick routes to frequently used resources by member and staff. Across successive redesigns, we migrated existing content, replaced outdated layouts and gave the team a more manageable publishing experience.
Career Portal for Michigan Law Enforcement
POAM’s career portal gives departments a place to share open positions and helps candidates find opportunities across Michigan. It brings recruitment into the same website members already use for union news and resources.
A Membership App That Goes Beyond a News Feed
Members do not always have time to sit down at a computer. The POAM app brings member-only content, news, targeted notifications and staff contact information to iOS and Android devices.
Department-specific folders provide a place for documents and association votes. Members can also reach union resources, vendors and member support information from their phones. These practical features extend the website’s role into the daily work of local associations.
Our role included app development and integration, with ongoing support for department voting and more.
Making A Union’s Work Visible

The content covers legislative developments, member accomplishments, department careers, events and resources. We help organize those stories, write for the audience and adapt the message to each channel, while POAM supplies its expertise and approvals.

Annual Police Officers Of The Year Convention
The partnership has also extended to POAM’s annual convention, with event marketing, printed schedules, trade show graphics and backdrops, photography, and hands-on help introducing members to the app. These projects connect the digital experience with the moments when the community comes together.
